Dental appliances can be either long-term solution or removable devices that are used as part of a treatment plan. At Mercato Dental Centre, we work with a range of removable dental devices, that are designed to protect your natural teeth.
Night Guards
Do you grind your teeth at night? If you do, you suffer from a condition called bruxism that can affect the integrity of your teeth. Teeth grinding can put pressure on the teeth and cause them to chip and crack. In such cases, your dentist may recommend wearing a custom night guard to protect your teeth from damage.
Retainers
After you’ve completed orthodontic treatment, it’s important to take steps to maintain the alignment of your teeth. Retainer is recommended to be worn at night to prevent your teeth from shifting out of place.
Sports Mouth Guards
If you experience a blow to your face during sporting activities, it can cause your teeth to break or dislodge. We recommend that adults and children who play sports (particularly contact sports) use a custom sports guard to protect the teeth and avoid injury.
