After serving one year as a dental house officer, he entered general dental practice. </font></p> <p><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Dr. Mottahed has advanced training which has led to a Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons as well as a Diploma in Orthodontics. </font> </p> <p><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">He is currently licensed to practice dentistry in the state of California and the province of British Columbia.</font></p> <p><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Although, his practice offers a variety of dental services, his inclination is on cosmetic dentistry, particularly on crowns and bridges.</font></p> <p><b><font face="Verdana" size="2">Dr. Adi Nokiani</font></b></p> <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">Dr. Adi Nokiani graduated from the University of British Columbia. Always eager to learn, he supplemented his training by being an active participant in numerous study clubs and continuing education seminars, particularly in Endodoctics, Periodontics, Surgery and Aesthetics Dentistry. After a brief oral surgery externship in Salvador, Brazil, Dr. Nokiani has moved on to become one of the respected dentists at Mercato.</font></p> <p><b><font face="Verdana" size="2">Dr. Sharon Mangat</font></b></p> <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">Dr. Mangat graduated from the University of British Columbia. Prior to starting her dental studies, she studied Biology at UBC. Dr. Mangat enjoys all aspects of dentistry, with a special interest in working with children. She looks forward to meeting all of the patients of Mercato Dental and providing excellent dental care. She speaks English and Punjabi.</font></p> <p><b><font face="Verdana" size="2">Dr. Bayan Mottahed</font></b></p> <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">Dr. Bayan was born in the states but grew up in Vancouver. He received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Biology from the University of British Columbia and his dental degree (DMD) from Boston University. </font></p> <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">He is Dr. M's son and he is enthusiastic about benefitting from his father's years of experience.</font></p> <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">His hobbies include playing squash and other racquet sports.</font></p> <p><b><font face="Verdana" size="2">Dr. Rodney Shainbom</font></b></p> <p><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Dr. Shainbom graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa in 1977. He was in his own private practice in Johannesburg until 1996 when he emigrated to Canada.
